Supreme Court Declines Review of Laulupesa Music Studio Permit

The Supreme Court of Estonia has declined to review a cassation appeal related to a building permit issued for the Laulupesa music studio in Tammelinn. The decision concludes a legal challenge initiated by a resident of the area. Last week, Maria Meus, residing on Kungla street in Tammelinn, informed the Tartu Postimees that she had filed an appeal against the District Court’s ruling.

The District Court had previously determined the city administration’s approval of the Laulupesa music studio permit to be lawful. The Supreme Court’s decision indicates that the court will not further examine the case. No comment was received from Airi Liiva, the director of the Laulupesa music studio.

Furthermore, attempts to reach Vahur and Maria Meus, who initiated the appeal, have been unsuccessful. The case stemmed from concerns raised by a local resident regarding the issuance of the building permit. The District Court’s ruling upheld the permit’s validity, a decision now finalized by the Supreme Court’s refusal to intervene.

This signifies the end of the legal proceedings concerning the Laulupesa music studio.
