Located approximately 50 kilometers from Tallinn, in the village of Ardu, a local resident named Julia has converted her private property and residence into a dedicated sanctuary for dogs. Using her own financial resources, she has taken in animals that have been abandoned or were facing euthanasia. Currently, the facility houses twelve dogs. The animals present in the shelter are in varying stages of recovery; some have shown signs of comfort and are no longer fearful of human presence after a long period, while others are still learning to establish trust and await their permanent new kodu.
