The Tallinn District Court issued a verdict on Thursday concerning allegations of corruption involving several individuals. The court found former advisor to the Ministry of Finance, Kersti Kracht, along with businessmen Hillar Teder, Toomas Tamme, and Jüri Põllu, guilty of involvement in corruption activities. In the proceedings, the District Court took the significant step of annulling a prior decision issued by the Tartu County Court.

This previous ruling, dated March 31 of the preceding year, had convicted Kersti Kracht specifically for violating operational restrictions to a substantial degree. The judgment confirms that the court reviewed the case related to the korruptsioonikuritegudes (corruption activities) involving the named parties. The ruling by the District Court represents a revision of the initial legal findings regarding the scope of the alleged misconduct.

The legal action addressed the professional conduct of Kersti Kracht and the associated business dealings of the other defendants. By overturning the earlier conviction, the court altered the legal standing regarding the violation of professional limitations previously assigned to Ms. Kracht.

The ruling establishes a new judicial determination concerning the culpability of all involved parties in the complex web of accusations surrounding the alleged corruption.
