Local Theatre Company, “Sinisilmsed,” Presents Unique Production

The “Sinisilmsed” theatre company, comprised of student Sander (Laurits Muru) and teacher Priit Pius, is currently presenting their latest work. A photograph of the company has been released by the Tallinn City Theatre. The production is based on Piret Jaaksi’s documentary play, originally titled “Radicals.” The initial concept behind the title sparked considerable discussion amongst the creative team.

As Jaaksi explains, the shift to “Sinisilmsed” – translating to “Blue-Eyed” – represents a significant departure. The change in title was noted as particularly striking, with one character within the play offering the comparison of the original title to “Crumbly cookie,” and another referencing “Night butterflies.” This juxtaposition highlights the play’s exploration of complex themes. “Sinisilmsed” offers a unique theatrical experience, showcasing the collaborative efforts of student and teacher within the Tallinn City Theatre.

Further details regarding performance dates and locations can be found on the Tallinn City Theatre website.
