Bolt Shifts Strategy, Reduces Meeting Costs Through Streamlined Communication

Bolt is implementing a revised approach to internal communication, focusing on efficiency and cost reduction, particularly regarding meetings. According to Mathis Bogens, head of internal communication at bolt, the company has moved away from traditional verbal meetings to prioritize written communication. The shift is driven by a significant cost analysis of internal meetings.

A one-hour meeting involving a 30-member team, assuming an average salary of €2,500 per employee, would cost the company approximately €470. However, by transitioning to written communication, bolt estimates savings. A similar meeting conducted in writing, lasting just 20 minutes, reduces the cost to approximately €156.

This demonstrates the potential for substantial savings through optimized meeting durations and formats. “We’ve recognized the importance of managing money effectively,” stated Bogens. “By embracing written communication for many internal discussions, bolt is able to dramatically reduce the financial impact of meetings.”

The change reflects a broader company strategy to improve operational efficiency and control expenses.

The move highlights bolt’s commitment to responsible resource allocation and demonstrates a focus on maximizing productivity through strategic communication methods.
