Mayor Peeter Raudsepp explained the decision, stating, “Anne Veski is one of the most beloved and influential singers in Estonia.

Her creative work spanning over four decades has consistently represented Estonian music culture both domestically and internationally. She has brought joy to numerous generations and played a vital role in the development of Estonian popular music.”
