Maxima is addressing a growing scam circulating on social media regarding a purported prize giveaway. The scam claims that customers can win 1,300 euros at a Maxima store on July 18, 2025. Maxima’s communication manager, Janika Jaago, stated that the store has received information about the spread of this fraudulent lottery. “Maxima only informs about its campaigns through official channels – on our website and in social media,” Jaago said. She further emphasized that the store never requests customer identification via mobile ID or Smart-ID for prize redemption.
