Endla Theater Prepares for Student Chat Show Performance

On Wednesday, preparations were underway at the Endla Theater for a student-led chat show scheduled for shortly before noon. The main hall was filled with students as teachers oversaw the seating arrangements and ensured order. Ushers closed the doors, and teachers issued a final reminder for students to maintain appropriate behavior.

Prior to the performance, a public announcement instructed attendees to switch off mobile phones. The technical team then finalized preparations, with sound cues delivered through loudspeakers. A key figure in this process is Siim Rohtväli, head of the sound department at Endla, who is also a nominee for the performance department category at this year’s theater award gala.

Rohtväli, positioned in the last row of the stage with an open window, is one of three individuals responsible for coordinating the timing of music and sound effects. His role involves precise operation of the soundboard, ensuring audio reaches the audience effectively. The performance is set to begin with soft music and the actors’ entrance onto the stage.
