The February Revolution began in Russia following a series of events centered around worker demands for increased wages. On February 23rd, employees of the Putilov factories in St. Petersburg produced a locomotive in response to their requests for higher compensation.

The following day, demonstrations erupted, quickly escalating into widespread protests. These initial actions in St. Petersburg subsequently spread across the Russian Empire, encompassing the entire nation.
