On Friday, Arvi Pink was removed from his position as Tallinn court bailiff by order of the Minister of Justice. The management of the chamber of court bailiffs and insolvency administrators will transfer the case to the court bailiff continuing the proceedings. The Minister of Justice initiated the removal due to violations identified in Pink’s professional activities. During disciplinary proceedings, the Ministry of Justice determined that Pink systematically and unlawfully charged creditors with a large fee for the commencement of proceedings, a practice not authorized by law. The proceedings in cases overseen by Pink have been suspended pending the transfer to a new court bailiff, Risto Sepu.
