Singer Anna Shurochkina, known professionally as Nysha, and her family announced their relocation to Dubai on March 21, 2022. Nysha, along with her husband, entrepreneur Igor Sivov, and their two children – daughter Simba and son – have established a permanent residence in the United Arab Emirates. Nysha explained the decision via Telegram, stating that her husband’s frequent business trips abroad had become increasingly challenging to manage from Russia.

Dubai’s status as a major global transportation hub was cited as a key factor in their choice. “Many of you know that my husband works mostly abroad. He often goes on business trips.

And we thought how to choose a place where it would be convenient to move — not too far, where you can live with your family so you don’t have to leave for a long time. In general, we chose two directions, two cities — Moscow and Dubai. And today we are already in Dubai, now I will spend a lot of time here,” Shurochkina shared.

Nysha affirmed her intention to continue engaging with her fanbase in Russia through her Telegram channel. She plans to provide updates on their adaptation to life in Dubai. The move follows a trend of other celebrities leaving Russia in recent times.

Prior to Nysha’s announcement, figures such as Alla Pugacheva, Maxim Galkin, Ksenia Sobchak, Ivan Urgant, and Chulpan Khamatova had also departed the country. While some fans expressed criticism of Nysha’s decision, others offered well wishes for her and her family’s transition to their new home.
