Applications for investment grants for agricultural enterprises began accepting submissions on March 23, 2023, through the maaelu.postimees.ee platform. The initiative, managed by the PRIA development grants department, will accept applications from March 22 to April 5. These grants support investments in agricultural machinery and equipment, infrastructure development, and bioenergy production. The maximum amount of support per applicant has increased to 800,000 euros, and the maximum support for purchasing mobile machines and equipment has risen to 200,000 euros. Applications are open to all agricultural entrepreneurs seeking support for environmentally and climate-focused equipment. Support can cover up to 40 percent of eligible expenditure, with a 30 percent rate for tractor purchases. The minimum support level is 15 percent of the eligible expenditure. The current application round anticipates a budget of over 27.5 million euros, allocated across several agricultural sectors including grain, oilseeds, and protein crops (6,839,000 euros), dairy farming (8,353,000 euros), livestock farming (6,170,000 euros), and other agricultural production (6,170,000 euros).
