Kevor Palumets, a 19-year-old midfielder from Paide City Team, has signed a contract with the Belgian club Zulte Waregem. Palumets, who played for Paide City Team for the past two and a half years, expressed gratitude to the team’s trainers, management, teammates, and fans. “I grew and developed as a player with great strides during my time at Paide City Team,” Palumets stated in a press release.

“This period remains close to my heart, and I will always be loyal to the team and its fans. I wish Paide all success and hope our paths will cross again.”

Paide City Team’s sports director, Gert Kams, noted Palumets’s potential from the beginning of his involvement with the Järvamaa representative club. “He lives and breathes football for the sake of the game,” Kams said.

“Kevor is hard-working, highly motivated, and consistently focused on achieving his goals. His development with our club demonstrates Paide City Team’s strategic direction.”

Palumets’s coach, Gert Kams, also thanked the staff and previous trainers of Paide City Team, including Risto Sarapik and Tabasalu Football Club. Zulte Waregem, founded in 1950, has previously won the Belgian Cup twice and finished third in the domestic league in 2013.

The club’s most significant European performance occurred in the 2006-2007 season, advancing from the group stage of the UEFA European League. Zulte Waregem plays its home matches at the Elindus Arena, which has a capacity of 12,000.
