The Rare Apartment building, a four-story structure located on a long street in Tartu, Estonia, now features over one hundred guest apartments. OÜ Rare Kapital, with board members Raul Joonasson and Reiko Kallion, owns the building. Interior designer Kristi Kass oversaw the building’s interior design, while Sigrit Tamme serves as the managing director.

The photograph was taken from the corner of Tartu city center. Previously, the site was occupied by a red and blue paint-covered building with a Pikk 40 facade, formerly housing an Asian restaurant, which was removed several years prior. The current building now offers a significant number of guest apartments.

  1. It’s concerning to see the continued expansion of short-term rentals like this, raising questions about the long-term impact on local housing.
