Kristel Kõiv, a 31-year-old mother of three, achieved her fastest marathon times since the beginning of the summer, unaware that her body was harboring a serious condition. Following an unexpected diagnosis of breast cancer, she faced difficult choices. With chemotherapy and a planned surgery now completed, she is preparing to run a marathon in May. Kõiv’s story began approximately a year and a half prior to the diagnosis. She discovered a piece of breast tissue and promptly sought medical evaluation.
