The Social Insurance Agency will provide tax refunds to eligible single pensioners aged 60 and older who meet specific criteria. The support, amounting to €115 per month, is automatically paid to pensioners who are 60 or older, live alone, and have a monthly pension less than €636. The eligibility period extends from April 1st to September 30th.

The limit for monthly income required to receive the support has increased from €582 to €636 this year, reflecting adjustments to the cost of living. The pension increase, including an extraordinary increase, also contributes to the support amount. To ensure accurate delivery, the Social Insurance Agency advises pensioners, their relatives, or guardians to verify that information regarding their status in the population register aligns with their circumstances.

Pension amounts are determined by data within the population register. Individuals living in care homes or registered as guardians who meet the criteria and have their information registered at their family home can also receive the support. Information regarding family home locations can be obtained directly from care facilities.

The agency will pay the support with the October pension for those whose information matches the eligibility requirements. Approximately 89,900 single pensioners received support last year, totaling over €10.3 million. Those who do not meet the conditions this year will have an opportunity to receive the support in the following year.
