Allan Keian and producer Vahur Valgmaa plan to produce Estonia’s first Hollywood-styled crime series, set in the 1990s. Keian, who has the idea and script, notes, “It’s hard to imagine a better time for a decent action series.” The series, titled “Saatuse pöördepunkt,” draws inspiration from several crime novels set in Estonia during that period, referencing events like violence in Tallinn and the destruction of kiosks. Valgmaa, who completed his studies at BFM after graduating from Los Angeles studios, has incorporated stylistic elements similar to Hollywood action series.

A pre-production trailer filmed in the summer features young professional actors alongside individuals with prior convictions who have completed their prison sentences. The team has already produced a series of action sequences using their own funds and is now seeking financing for four parts of the production. The series will focus on the 1990s, incorporating elements of music and style trends.

Keian states, “We are not going to give up on our quality,” emphasizing a strong plot and world-class visual spectacle as key components. Currently, Keian and Valgmaa are seeking financiers and distributors for the series in Estonia. Interested parties can contact the creators at allan@allan.ee or through social media.
