The Tallinn City Council is organizing a commemoration event for the 1944 March bombing, a tactic familiar to the eastern-based attackers. The event will take place on March 9th and includes a memorial service beginning at the Siselinna cemetery with a service of prayer and concluding with a candle lighting ceremony on Harju Street. At 12:00, a memorial service will be held at the burial site within the Siselinna cemetery.

Estonian Orthodox Church Bishop Alexander Sarapik will deliver the eulogy. The event marks the anniversary of the 1944 bombing, a year that remains a significant event in the city’s history.
