Pedestrian Injured in Türi Traffic Accident Today

Türi, Estonia – A traffic accident occurred today, December 12, 2025, resulting in serious injuries to a 58-year-old man. According to preliminary reports, the incident took place at the Pärnu bus stop in Türi at approximately 16:15. Police responded to a report that a 68-year-old man had struck a pedestrian crossing the street.

The injured man was transported to the Tallinn PERH hospital for treatment following the accident. Authorities confirmed the driver involved was operating a vehicle with valid permits and was sober at the time. Separately, police reported an ongoing investigation into a scam that occurred on March 4th.

A 55-year-old man residing in Tartu was targeted by individuals posing as representatives of Omniva, the Estonian bank, and the Police and Border Guard Board. The scammer successfully convinced the man to share his personal passwords and download the AnyDesk program onto his computer, confirming multiple fraudulent calls. Investigations are ongoing in both cases.
