A black-capped nuthatch (Parus major) was found on the ground after falling from its nest, according to an article in the Bird Watcher’s blog. Ornithologist Marko Mägi of the Tartu University Ecology and Earth Sciences Institute wrote about the impact of urbanization on the landscape, environment, and life of organisms, including changes in appearance. Mägi noted that the appearance of the bird was duller, likely due to alterations caused by the city’s development.
