His older brother, Gareth Hargreaves, confirmed the discovery. “With a heavy heart, I can confirm that after 14 months we have finally found Bryn,” Gareth Hargreaves wrote on his Facebook wall. “We still do not know what caused his death, or what happened to him on January 3rd, 2022. Thank you to everyone who helped in the search.” Hargreaves played for Wales in the 2007 World Cup qualifier against Scotland, representing the team despite being from England due to his Welsh grandfather. He retired at the age of 26 and relocated to the US in 2012.
