Airbus’ “Bird of Prey” Drone Completes Initial Flight Test

North Germany – Airbus has successfully completed the initial flight test of its new unmanned “bird of prey” drone during a demonstration conducted within a military training area. The drone, designated “Bird of Prey,” represents a significant development in autonomous aerial systems. During the test, the drone autonomously identified and classified a medium-sized unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV), simulating a kamikaze drone scenario.

Subsequently, the “Bird of Prey” deployed a Mark I air-launched missile, developed by Frankenburg Technologies, a military-industrial complex based in Estonia, to neutralize the target. This demonstration showcased the drone’s capabilities in real-time mission assessment and targeted engagement. The successful operation highlights the integration of advanced technologies within a complex defense system.
