The Transport Ministry concluded the ice-breaking season in Pärnu and the Gulf of Riga yesterday, marking the end of operations for the icebreaker EVA-316. During the approximately 100-day season, the eva assisted 136 vessels. Ships will now proceed directly from Pärnu harbor to the open sea, as the icebreaker is no longer required. Some residual floating ice remains in the harbor area, but it does not pose a navigational hazard.
