Tatjana Lavrova Resigns from Lasnamäe District Mayor Candidate Race

“My words have been misunderstood and I have therefore come under public pressure. I do not want to put the social democrats and the Tallinn City Council under the pressure that comes with this, which is why I am withdrawing from the Lasnamäe district mayor candidate,” stated Tatjana Lavrova. “I will continue to contribute to the development of Lasnamäe, but not as the district mayor, but as an active citizen,” she added.

The Social Democratic Party’s Tallinn region board nominated Tatjana Lavrova as the Lasnamäe district mayor candidate on Wednesday. Tatjana Lavrova has been employed for the past five years as a STEP program counselor, coordinator of the volunteer network, and media manager. The STEP program assists young people with backgrounds in criminal offenses in finding employment or educational opportunities.

Lavrova has previously provided guidance to young people in various programs. She is a holistic regression therapist and a corrector for dyslexia, dysgraphia, and hyperactivity in children, adolescents, and adults. Lavrova is also a key initiator and organizer of the “Teeme ära” and “World Cleanup Day” initiatives, and the creator of the “Teeme ära” logo.

She has served as the host and editor of the “Green Environment” segment of the ETV+ morning program and as an editor for the Den za Dnjom weekly newspaper. Lavrova has authored seven plays and several children’s fairy tales. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Swedish philology and has studied occupational therapy, holistic regression therapy, and the correction of dyslexia, dysgraphia, and ADHD.
