The “1 square meter of flax” initiative, launched in Sweden in 2021, has expanded to Estonia this summer, with approximately 300 fields of flax cultivated across the country. The project, coordinated by Margit Pensa, acting head of the Karilatsi open-air museum, is focused on practical implementation. Flax rows behind the open-air museum garden will be available for sale until the end of September. The effort, mirroring a similar venture in Sweden, will conclude on October 15th in Põlvamaa, near the Postal Road.
