The planned construction of a pulp and paper plant and bio-products facility near Lugaži, Estonia, has yet to materialize after nearly three and a half years of initial announcements. “Viru Keemia Grupp” announced in 2019 its intention to build the plant on land in the village, located near Kohtla-Järve. The project involved the development of a pulp, paper production facility alongside other bio-product offerings.
