The Estonian Police arrested three drivers last night who were found to be driving under the influence of alcohol. According to police reports to BNS, all three individuals were operating vehicles while exceeding the legal blood alcohol content limit, which ranges from 0.2 to 1.49 per mille. The legal limit for driving in Estonia is 0.2 per mille.

Drivers found to have consumed alcohol above this limit face traffic offenses punishable by fines up to 1,200 euros, detention for up to 30 days, or the suspension of their driving license for up to one year. In cases where drivers are under the influence of drugs or have a blood alcohol content exceeding 1.5 per mille, they may face criminal charges, potentially resulting in fines of up to 300 euros or prison sentences of up to three years. The court may also order the confiscation of the vehicle used in the commission of the offense.
