At 6:33 p.m. on Saturday, emergency services responded to a report of a vehicle incident in Auvere village, Ida-Viru County. A BMW passenger car had left the roadway, rolled into a ditch, and subsequently ended up on its roof before flooding. Two people escaped the vehicle, but two others were unable to do so and perished as a result. The accident occurred on the property of a waste disposal facility adjacent to the outflow channel of the Narva power plant.
