Latvian police detained a group of individuals suspected of selling drugs via the Telegram communication platform. The State Police of Latvia initiated an investigation following reports of drug sales through Telegram in February 2023. Six individuals were arrested on suspicion of the crime, including a 1983-year-old woman, a 1970-year-old woman, a 2000-year-old woman, a 1982-year-old man, a 1986-year-old man, and a 1991-year-old man. The investigation revealed that the organizer of the group accepted orders from customers and relayed them to other members. During searches of residences in Riga, police seized a quantity of illicit substances, including 84.8 grams of cocaine, approximately 1.42 kilograms of amphetamine, 1.84 kilograms of marijuana, 293.4 grams of MDA crystals, 450 tablets of MDA, and 65 brands of LSD. Additionally, authorities confiscated €5,870, which was seized as property derived from criminal activity.
