On Saturday, October 15th, a serious accident occurred on the Tallinn-Narva highway near Kyrkküla. At 13:56, a collision took place in the Rakkvere municipality of Lääne-Viru county on the 101.5 km stretch of the highway. A 26-year-old woman driving a Honda H-RV was involved in an accident with a Volkswagen Passat. The Honda was traveling at a slow speed with its turn signal activated when the driver of the Passat attempted to overtake the vehicle to the left. The Honda then moved into the center of the road, resulting in a collision between the two vehicles. Both drivers possessed valid driver’s licenses and were sober at the time. The driver of the Volkswagen, a 35-year-old male, was transported to a hospital for evaluation. There were three individuals in the Volkswagen – two adults and a child – and two in the Honda, neither of whom sustained injuries. The accident occurred on the Tallinn-Narva highway.
