A fire broke out Saturday night, August 13th, in a multi-story building in Tallinn’s Mustamäe district, resulting in three injuries. Emergency services responded to the incident at approximately 2:44 AM, following a report of a fire originating on the seventh floor of a building on Sipu Street. Firefighters immediately initiated evacuation procedures.

A municipal bus was deployed to accommodate evacuated residents, with temporary lodging arranged for none. Three individuals sustained injuries; one was treated at the scene by emergency medical services, while the other two were transported to a hospital for examination. The fire was extinguished by approximately 5:00 AM.

The cause of the fire remains undetermined and is under investigation. Preliminary reports indicate that two women were present in the burning apartment and were taken to the hospital after inhaling smoke. Witnesses reported being awakened by sirens, car signals, and cries.

One witness described firefighters extinguishing the fire by pouring water on adjacent apartments, and noted damage to parked vehicles. Another resident, Svetlana, stated she awoke at 3:17 AM to the sound of sirens and police activity. Rescue services, police, and ambulance personnel responded to the scene.

She observed residents fleeing the burning building and noted that the apartment was completely engulfed in flames, with fire spreading from both sides of the structure. Three apartments sustained damage. Authorities are continuing to investigate the cause of the fire.
