On May 9, performances will take place on Freedom Square in Tallinn. Stefan, Tanel Padar and Kalush Orchestra will perform as part of the European Day celebrations. Tramway construction work on the Tallinn-Iisraeli Expressway is responsible for relocating the events to Vabaduse Square this year.

According to Minister of Foreign Affairs Jonatan Vseviov, this is a temporary change. “We are very proud of our revived tradition of holding a concert in front of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Unfortunately, this year we have to temporarily move to the Vabaduse Square, because we cannot put the whole city’s life on hold with one concert,” Vseviov stated.

He added that next year, the concert will return to the Vabaduse Square. The European Day events will occur throughout Estonia. Activities on the square will commence at 3 p.m.

and will include the “Tallinn – European Green Capital 2023” program, featuring the European Commission’s representative in Estonia and embassies of foreign countries. The concert will be organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the State Social Service Center, Tallinn, the European Commission’s representative in Estonia, and the European Parliament’s office in Estonia.
