At the latest Tallinn City Council session, Olle Koop (Isamaa) was elected as the head of the Oversight Committee. Koop stated that the committee’s task, in collaboration with the factions, will be to analyze and propose solutions to Tallinn’s real problems. He emphasized that it is in the interest of Tallinns’ residents that the city is governed honestly, fairly, and effectively. “Tallinn has experienced dozens of corruption and misuse of taxpayer funds cases over the years. The Oversight Committee must ensure that misuse of taxpayer funds in Tallinn ends and that the use of citizens’ money is correct,” Koop said.
