Val, 21, is a barista at a coffee shop in the center of Kyiv. Several months ago, she left the town near the occupied Donetsk without parents and relatives to – after traveling through Russia and Belarus – cross the Ukrainian border. The full-scale invasion has prompted young people to consider the political situation in Donetsk and to begin asking questions.
