On Monday, September 12, 2022, the Sakala center hosted a series of cultural events. The day’s activities included a community cinema screening of Aki Kaurismäki’s “Hold on a Rattlesnake, Tatiana,” curated by film journalist Tristan Priimägi. The screening began at 19:00 at the Abja cultural center. Throughout the day, various events took place across Viljandi, including a concert series “Music 104 Estonia” featuring the trombone quartet Four Bones (Hungary) at Pärnu maantee 28, Abja-Paluoja. Centrum cinema offered multiple screenings of “Where are you going?” at 12:15 and 18:15, alongside “Kukerpilli rapsoodia,” “Vere kutse,” “Marmauduke,” “Apteeker Melchior. Viirastus,” and “Satire of fate in American style.” The community cinema also presented an Aki Kaurismäki retrospective, featuring “Hold on a Rattlesnake, Tatiana,” “Three thousand years of longing,” and “After. Long and happy.” Additionally, the Krõllipesa nursery school celebrated its fifth anniversary with an exhibition. Several art exhibitions were scheduled throughout September.
