Loit and Suigusaar, who established operations in Vergis four years ago, have been recognized by the Lääne-Virumaa Municipalities Association as the county’s tourism promoter of the year. The pair launched the Wirkes restaurant and also provide accommodation services within the village. Lauri Loit relocated to Vergis from Tallinn, while Kelli Suigusaar came from Rakvere.

“We are immigrants,” Suigusaar stated, laughing. The business operates out of the former Kirovi fish processing plant and is owned by loit and suigusaar.
