Estonian employees are increasingly benefiting from a government program offering financial support for wellness initiatives. The scheme provides employees with €400 annually, directly from their employers, without tax implications. According to Mai Palmipuu, a senior auditor, this initiative represents a strategic advantage for businesses focused on employee well-being.

The program allows employers to demonstrate their commitment to employee health through a tangible financial contribution. Previously, employees may have hesitated to pursue wellness activities due to concerns about the cost. Now, options such as massages or dental check-ups can be funded directly by employers.

The €400 annual stipend is provided without the involvement of the tax authorities.
