KALEV/CRAMO basketball team announced that the planned introduction of shooting guard Shamorie Ponds has fallen through. The team had been anticipating Ponds joining as a replacement for Desonta Bradford, who departed for personal reasons in early October. KALEV/CRAMO was left without a shooting guard and subsequently sought a replacement in Ponds, the reigning Estonian champion.

However, the club announced on Facebook that Ponds did not join, leaving the team without a resolution. “We regret to announce that Shamorie Ponds, who was unexpectedly not joining KALEV/CRAMO with us, and as a result, the waiting line is still waiting for a replacement,” the club stated. The team had been awaiting Ponds’ arrival in Estonia on Thursday afternoon and received notification of his absence the same morning.

Attempts to resolve the situation with the player’s agent were unsuccessful. KALEV/CRAMO is currently in negotiations with a potential new shooting guard.
