Former Chairman of the Board of the Estonian National Bank Jaan Männik stated that Swedish elections are primarily focused on immigration and welfare issues. The upcoming Swedish parliamentary election, scheduled for Sunday, has largely centered around two main blocs. The left-wing bloc is led by social democrat Magdalena Andersson, the current Prime Minister, while the right-wing bloc is headed by Ulf Kristersson, the leader of the Moderate Party.

Männik noted a significant imbalance in the support for these blocs over a sustained period. The Swedish parliament requires a four percent threshold for representation, differing from Estonia’s five percent requirement. Keywords: jaan, estonian, immigration
