Viljandi took the reins in the bronze series of the Estonian women’s championship. Viljandi Metall defeated Võru Barruse 3:0 (27:25, 25:21, 25:20) in the opening game of the bronze series, which is part of the Estonian women’s volleyball championship. Kerttu Lääne led the winners with 12 points (+8), while Renate Pikk contributed 11 points.

Salme Adeele Hollas scored 16 points for the visitors. Viljandi Metall held a 16-9 advantage in blocks and a 7-4 edge in service points. Võru Barruse had a 5-8 advantage in blocks and a 4-7 edge in service points.

The teams will meet again on March 30th at 19:00 in Tartu Sports Hall. The bronze series between Tartu University/Bigbank and TalTech/Tradehouse will also continue on March 30th at 19:00 in Tartu University Sports Hall. Tartu University’s team took the lead with a 3:2 victory.

Before the game, Tartu University/Bigbank eliminated TÜ/Bigbank from competition, winning all three matches 3:0. Võru Barruse closed the finals for Tartu University, who was in the series with a 3:1 lead. Viljandi and Võru met twice in the main tournament, held in the first half of January, and both times Barrus left the arena with a 3:0 victory.
