The International Maritime Organization (IMO) conducted an audit of Estonia’s maritime sector in 2010, identifying several shortcomings within the industry. Twelve years later, the State Audit Office of Estonia reported that these issues remain unresolved. The next mandatory audit by the IMO is scheduled for spring 2024, continuing the international body’s oversight of the maritime sector in Estonia.
