Security police arrested a 54-year-old man suspected of organizing the Pāeskuula bombing in the Tallinn suburb of Pāeskuula on Monday. The court granted permission for a two-month detention. “Nowadays, explosive devices rarely explode in public places in Estonia, but the suspects we have arrested are not uncommon. This happened this time as well. You can sleep peacefully,” the police said on Twitter. A partial explosion of an explosive device occurred late last Saturday at the Vana-Pääsküla bus stop, fortunately resulting in no serious injuries. The police arrested the suspect following the incident. At the request of the Pāeskuula district prosecutor’s office, Harju County Court issued a preliminary two-month detention order. A criminal investigation is being conducted by the police under the supervision of the Pāeskuula district prosecutor’s office.
