A new competence center dedicated to assessing health and well-being has been established near the University of Tartu. This center brings together a multidisciplinary team comprising both psychology and medical experts. Its primary objective is to ensure the utilization of standardized, evidence-based testing methodologies within the Estonian healthcare system. By centralizing expertise, the initiative aims to significantly improve the precision of diagnoses and enhance the overall reliability of treatment decisions across the country. Currently, while various tools such as mental health assessments and clinical risk scores are recognized as invaluable aids for medical practitioners, a cohesive and comprehensive overview regarding their quality assurance and appropriate application within Estonia remains underdeveloped. This gap in standardized knowledge poses a challenge to optimizing patient care pathways. To address this deficiency and facilitate more precise clinical decision-making, the University of Tartu has officially opened a unique competence center. This new center serves as a crucial resource for clinicians, providing a platform for evaluating the efficacy and consistency of current diagnostic instruments.
