Estonian Minister of the Interior Igor Taro signed a letter of intent with Frontex Executive Director Hans Leijtens on Monday, formally committing to the permanent establishment of a Frontex regional command center in the Narva area. The agreement, reached during Taro’s visit to Poland, reinforces Estonia’s commitment to bolstering border security. The regional command center will be located in Narva, a town situated on the border with Russia. Frontex, the European Border and Coast Guard Agency, will operate the center, focusing on regional operational support.
