FRIEND ⟩ A new border guard is being created

The Northeast Defense District of the “Kaitse” is establishing a border guard unit, inviting individuals interested in contributing to the maximum protection of Estonia’s border to participate. This initiative involves collaboration between the Police Department, Border Guard, and the “Kaitse” organization. In November 2021, Ida Prefect Tarvo Kruup and the Commander of the Northeast District of the “Kaitse” and the commander of the Viru squad, Jaanun Ainsalu, were photographed during joint exercises in Narva, where additional border barriers were set up with reservists.

This cooperation has occurred multiple times in recent years between the Police Department, Border Guard, and the “Kaitse” organization at the Estonian border.
