The Postimees bookstore presented “Eranuhke ei armasta keegi” by Gert Kiiler at the Kirjandustänava festival in Kadrioru on September 10th, 2022. Author Gert Kiiler discussed the novel with Mart Juur. The novel is set in August 1961, focusing on Paul Johnson’s opening of a detective agency in Viljandi.

The story follows a new private detective navigating harsh men, influential women, expensive vehicles, and a lifestyle prone to danger. The book portrays Viljandi as a resort town resembling a Las Vegas-style gambling hub, a concept realized in this parallel past where Estonia was not part of the Soviet Union.
