Ukrainian security analyst Mykola Bjelesky assessed that Vladimir Putin’s focus on geopolitical ambitions will continue to overshadow the economic crisis and sanctions impacting Russia. In an interview with Meelis Oidsa, Bjelesky discussed the Achilles’ heel of NATO drone warfare, the evolving role of Europe, and the current lack of a realistic exit strategy for Ukraine in the ongoing conflict. The Ukrainian military utilizes 23 mm caliber anti-aircraft systems, such as the ZU-23-2, capable of engaging drones at altitudes up to 2.5 kilometers.

Similar systems are available in Estonia, though public information indicates they have not been independently developed.
