During a recent inspection of 36 establishments in Ida- and Lääne-Virumaa counties – including bars, cafes, nightclubs, bowling alleys, and casinos – the Ida Emergency Center identified significant fire safety deficiencies. Inspectors found that many establishments were in compliance with regulations at the time of the announced inspections, but upon closer examination, smoke detectors were often covered with blankets and other obstructions. Only five of the 36 establishments met all required safety standards.
