A significant number of referees did not travel to Berlin for the EuroBasket Final Tournament, raising concerns among tournament organizers. Of the 44 referees initially scheduled to officiate the event, only 20 were present for the decisive games. Among the referees present was Mihkel Männiste of Estonia. The reduced number of officials has prompted expressions of dissatisfaction from head coaches, including Georgian coach Ilias Zouros.
