44th Lake Garda Meeting Concludes with Sailing Success The 44th annual Lake Garda Meeting, held in Riva del Garda, Italy, from April 2nd to 5th, concluded with the inaugural running of the Optimist regatta. The event, organized by the Fraglia Vela Riva, drew over 800 young sailors from 40 countries to the renowned Garda Lake. This prestigious meeting is recognized globally as the largest one-class sailing competition, and is also listed in the Guinness Book of Records. Participants competed across a range of ILCA classes, including ILCA 4 and 6, with the ILCA Youth Easter Meeting 2026 taking place on the lake in early April. Over 300 athletes competed over four days. Notably, Estonian sailors achieved strong results across multiple classes during the event.
